A new hulk is coming to town! Bruce Banner will have some company in the green giant department as Marvel has greenlit a She-Hulk series. Tatiana Maslany will play Jennifer Walters, who also gets hit with gamma rays and inherits the same powers as her cousin Bruce, Mark Ruffalo. While Bruce has to deal with a bit of an alter-ego situation when it comes to being the Hulk, Jennifer will be able to retain her usual personality even when she goes green.
She-Hulk is an television series created by Jessica Gao for the streaming service Disney+, based on the Marvel Comics character of the same name. It is intended to be part of the television series in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) produced by Marvel Studios, sharing continuity with the films of the franchise. Gao serves as head writer with Kat Coiro leading the directing team. Tatiana Maslany stars as Jennifer Walters / She-Hulk. Mark Ruffalo, Tim Roth, Ginger Gonzaga, Renée Elise Goldsberry, and Jameela Jamil also star. The series was announced in August 2019, with Gao hired in November. Coiro joined to direct multiple episodes in September 2020, and Maslany was cast. By December, Roth and Ruffalo had joined the cast and Anu Valia was also set to direct. Filming began in mid-April 2021 in Los Angeles and Atlanta, Georgia, and lasted until late August.
She-Hulk is scheduled to be released in 2022, and will consist of ten episodes. It will be part of Phase Four of the MCU.
