NY Glam: Tell us a little about yourself, growing up and your passions.

My name’s Aysha. I’m 12 years old. I had the leading role in a movie called  “Olma Djon” by Victoria Yakubov. I like drawing and love sewing. These are my hobbies.

NY Glam: What are you currently working on?

Currently I try to focus myself on studying, I’m at 6ths grade. I want to graduate from school.

NY Glam: What made you take this role?

I’ve known Victoria since I was 5.

One day she told me she is starting a project, the one we are talking about,”Olma Djon”.She wanted for me to be a part of it. I couldn’t refuse, it was an interesting idea.

NY Glam: What journey does your character go on in the course of the monologues?

She doesn’t, she couldn’t speak until the very end. Actually, culmination of the whole story is when she says her first word-mommy.

NY Glam: Tell us a little bit more about this film, what is it about, who else are you working with, and who is the director, producer, writer?

Olma Djon is about a family, who are in pain.Their only child-precious Sholpan is 9, but she haven’t spoken a word since she was born. Her father desperately wants to make her speak, he tries everything again and again. Mother, otherwise, has already given up, she lost a hope. Their house is quite humble. Most of their time they spend by themselves, in a quite atmosphere. The whole movie is more concentrated on nature noises, for example, on a noise of burning fire. Once upon a time, on a day like others, the “witch” came to her father and helped him with his past issues. After that he stops trying to make her speak, instead, he waited for her to do it by her own. Only when he let it go, Sholpan finally opened her mouth and said that wanted word. Victoria Yakubov is the director and producer of this movie.

NY Glam: What is the most challenging role you have played and why?

The parts I had were pretty easy for me ,I enjoyed portraying those incredible characters

NY Glam: And the most fun one?

I starred in a short film by Victoria, where I ate a lot of grape and melon, which was planned for the scene. As it went by, by the end of the day my stomach was full of grape and melon.

NY Glam: Describe your biggest accomplishment to date?

I’m young, and will have a lot of things in the future.

NY Glam: What other hobbies do you have? Have you ever considered branching out into directing or screenwriting?

I like biking, baking and drawing. But answering questions about screenwriting and directing, I haven’t tried it yet.

NY Glam: Where have you played a lead role? What was the character about?

I had pretty big parts in Olma Djon, and Menyn Kazynam (by Victoria Yakubov)

NY Glam: If you weren’t acting what would you be doing?

Right now I spend a lot of time at school, and drawing courses.
