Ryan Rodney Reynolds is a Canadian actor and film producer. He began his career starring in the Canadian teen soap opera Hillside, and had minor roles before landing the lead role on the sitcom Two Guys and a Girl between 1998 and 2001.
Reynolds’ biggest commercial success came with the superhero films Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018), in which he played the title character. The former set numerous records at the time of its release for an R-rated comedy and his performance earned him nominations at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards and the Golden Globe Awards. Reynolds was awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2017. He has been married twice: to actress Scarlett Johansson from 2008 to 2011, and since 2012 to actress Blake Lively, with whom he has three daughters.
At Red Notice movie, Ryan Reynolds as Nolan Booth: A renowned art thief who is, at the start of the movie, arrested by FBI Agent John Hartley and Interpol Inspector Urvashi Das. But when Sarah Black/The Bishop frames Hartley for the theft of the first egg of Cleopatra, he and Hartley work together to escape prison and find the remaining two eggs before Black. It is revealed that Booth’s father was a cop who was obsessed with finding the third egg of Cleopatra, leading Booth to the third egg’s location.
Despite all of Red Notice’s bad reviews, the movie somehow reached the top spot on Netflix’s most-watched list. The film follows FBI Agent John Hartley (Dwayne Johnson) on a mission with Interpol to intercept the number two art thief in the world, Nolan Booth (Ryan Reynolds), from stealing one of Cleopatra’s famed golden eggs. After the number one art thief in the world, The Bishop (Gal Gadot), erases all of Hartley’s credentials, Interpol throws both Hartley and Booth into a Russian prison. The two make a plan to escape and find all of Cleopatra’s eggs before The Bishop can get to them. The plot leads them on a wild goose chase which includes Nazi underground bunkers, a watch with a treasure map, and a bullfight in Rome’s famed colosseum, which all culminates with the twist that Hartley and The Bishop are actually a team. Red Notice is burgeoning with plot holes and headscratchers, prompting audiences to wonder how a script like this was even approved by a major studio like Netflix.
