palindrome is any word, phrase or sequence of numbers that reads the same whether you read it forward or backward, such as “mom,” “race car” or “tacocat.”

A Palindrome Day happens when the day’s date can be read the same way backward and forward. The dates are similar to word palindromes in that they are symmetrical. ‘BOB’ ,
Hannah, Ada, Anna, Bob, Nitin or Otto, are palindrome.

Time and Date tells us, “As long as you write your date in the m-dd-yy format, every century has 9 years with 10 Palindrome Days in a row. These years are always in the second decade of the century. For example, every year between 2011-2019, 2111-2119, and 2211-2219 will have 10 consecutive Palindrome Days.

According to CNN , the last time a palindrome date in all formats occurred was 909 years ago on 11/11/1111. Most of us won’t be around the next time it happens again in 101 years on 12/12/2121.

This Sunday is the first global palindrome date in 909 years!

It’s also the only palindrome date in all date formats we’ll see this century.

Fun fact: Early this morning it was 02:02:20 on 02/02/2020.
