The 14th edition of the International Filmmaker Festival of New York (IFFNY) is proud to unveil its official selection for 2025. This year, IFFNY received an impressive 542 submissions from around the world, reflecting a remarkable spectrum of global storytelling. After a careful and passionate review process, 57 exceptional projects have been chosen, representing 89 countries across five continents. Of these, 47 will compete in the official competition across various categories, while 10 outstanding works have been selected for the festival’s new Spotlight Showcase—a non-competitive section celebrating bold, innovative voices. These Spotlight films will also be featured in IFFNY’s online program, making the festival accessible to a broader international audience and continuing its mission of connecting global filmmakers with film lovers everywhere.
