She has performed and studied internationally in\nSpain, France, Japan, Cuba and the US. She has worked with renowned directors\nsuch as Stephen Daldry, Luis Garc\u00eda Berlanga and Jorge Al\u00ed Triana. She is a\nmember of the Spanish Repertory Theatre in NYC and has played with many NY\nbased theatre companies doing classical, experimental theatre, clown and\nphysical theatre.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Recent independent films and TV credits include, the mini-series\n\u201cMen Who Build America\u201d, \u201cStray Dolls\u201d and \u201cHe Matado a Mi Marido.\u201d She\ngraduated from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. Puy began writing when\nshe felt the need to turn the play she had produced at the United Nations into\na film script.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Puy\u2019s script \u201cLife is a dream\u201d was finalist at&nbsp;<em>Sundance Writer\u2019s Lab<\/em>&nbsp;in\n2014, and it was selected by&nbsp;<em>Dreamago\u2019s International Writers Lab<\/em>&nbsp;in\nthe same year. In 2018, Puy was invited to a pitch session in Los Angeles by\nDreamago\u2019s program&nbsp;<em>Meet your Match<\/em>. In 2016 her play \u201cElse and Henry,\u201d was\nawarded the Third Prize in the Metlife Foundation\u2019s national writers\u2019\ncompetition&nbsp;<em>Our\nVoices<\/em>. She has won a Residency in Switzerland to turn \u201cElse and\nHenry\u201d into a film script.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She has worked for the Rubin Museum of Art as a Story Teller for their&nbsp;<em>Sleepovers<\/em>. She has written short stories and has performed for \u201cThe Moth\u201d at their community programs. I&#8217;m also re-writing a script about a middle-age woman who has been victimized by an ambivalent partner. (Ambivalent Love). And I&#8217;m also doing some research about the architect  Henry Klumb  ands his wife Else Klumb, which are the subject of another script that I&#8217;ll be writing in a Writers Residency that I won, in Switzerland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NY Glam: What makes a film great for you? Are\nthere certain qualities that make a film better for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I\ncome from the theatre tradition, where you have a direct dialogue with the\naudience. Ands what fascinates me about film, is that it&#8217;s a team effort. You\nwrite a script and when you shoot you realize it has a life of its own.\nFilmmaking is about telling a story with images&#8230; and when a film is great,\nevery time you watch it, you find a different layer&#8230;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NY Glam: <\/strong><strong>As a screenwriter, what is the most\nimportant aspect of building a character?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Being truthful to the character.\nFollowing his\/her impulses, finding the action that best suits his\/her desires.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NY Glam: Top 3 favorite projects that you have\nbeen involved in?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cStray Dolls\u201d by Sonejuhi Sinha,\n\u201cYou, Me, Bathroom, Sex&lt; Now\u201d by Francisco Lupini and the theatre play \u201cAy\nCarmela.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>NY Glam: Do you\nexpress&nbsp;yourself&nbsp;creatively in any other ways?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>My passion is acting. I love reading\nin general but specially short stories. And I love to practice and to teach\nYoga and meditation.
