Majestic Tillman is an independent screenwriter and actor based out of Albany New York, he has worked with a film organization known as YouthFX for ten years. Throughout those years he has written, acted and directed over 15 short films and won numerous awards from Film festivals.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: What projects are you\ncurrently working on?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nwas cast for a lead role in a short film that should be shooting in\nMid-January, I am also working on securing funding to shoot my latest short\nfilm.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: What makes a film great for you? Are there certain\nqualities that make a film better for you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nthink characters that you can live through are what make a film great, you need\nto be able to relate and understand characters; they need to be and feel real\nto the audience. A strong sense of direction and world building make a film\nbetter to me, a world that I can invest in as a viewer will keep me engaged.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: <\/strong>As a\nscreenwriter, what is the most important aspect of building a character? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nmost important aspect of building a character is making them feel authentic and\nhave a unique voice to make them stand out from everyone else.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: Top 3 favorite projects that you have been involved in?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\nactually have been a part of a few plays my favorite one being A Lesson Before Dying\nwhere I played Jefferson.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: What advice would you give to someone who wants to\nhave a career in filmmaking?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\nadvice I would give is to always be happy with the work that you did, don\u2019t\nlook for outside validation when it comes to your art. If you are constantly\nlooking for someone to say you did a good job, you\u2019ll always need that source\nto feel good about your art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: What can we expect from you\nin 2020?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I\u2019m\ncurrently working on A letter To You a short which I wrote, and acting in\nanother short at the top of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
