Exclusive Interview with Iryna Enso -Painter <\/h4>\n\n\n\n

Paris-based interdisciplinary artist Iryna Enso creates works of mixed media that usually reflect her stories or poems.
A graduate of Stockholm University, Iryna pursued an earlier career in law. Yet, art had always been present in her life and upon moving to Alpes six years ago she decided to follow her love of art.
She is an oil, acrylic, watercolor painter, as well as working with pastels and Chinese ink.
Iryna\u2019s first exhibition <\/strong>Les voyages d’une \u00e2me <\/strong><\/em>(the Travels of a soul) was in March 2016 in Annecy, France.
Iryna had also been involved in illustrating and co-authoring <\/strong>Tales of the Inner Child<\/strong><\/em>, a book published in December 2018. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: Tell us a little about yourself and your c<\/strong>areer beginnings. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Well,\nmy career did not really start in art, it started in law. Only after I gave\nbirth to my first child, I could not help, but pursue my absolute love for art.\nNearly simultaneously I started painting and writing.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: What projects are you currently working on?<\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am working on a\nfew projects right now. One of them is a new book, which I both illustrate and\nwrite. I also continue to collaborate with Aleksa Shim. We are currently\nlooking into producing a second book together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY\nGlam: What art do you most identify with? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To tell the truth most of art resonates with\nme. For me it is not so much about the form of art, but about the message it\nsends and its purity<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY\nGlam: What themes do you pursue?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Right now, I mostly work with the theme of\nthe Universe and a place of a human being in it, everyday life experiences. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY\nGlam: What\u2019s your favorite art work? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It changes from time to time, but currently I\nam in love with the works of Jackie Morris, a scottish painter and book\nillustrator and author. She has an absolutely amazing touch, when painting\nnature. And the colours that she uses are stunning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY\nGlam: Tells us about some of your recent exhibitions. What memorable responses\nhave you had to your work?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Probably the most rewarding was to hear\n\u2018…there are a lot of people who\u2019d want to say things, but you, you know how\nto say them.\u2019 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY\nGlam: Tell us about one of your projects which you are very proud of.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The project I am most proud of is\nillustrating, co-authoring and self-publishing Tales of the Inner Child. One\ncannot even imagine the amount of work it represents to publish a book, let\nalone doing it yourself. It was an amazing A to Z accomplishment and\nexperience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY\nGlam: What does \u201cbeing creative\u201d mean to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To me it is mostly about letting the art\nflow, blossom and glow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: What are you\ntrying to communicate with your art?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am trying to share different experiences by means of words and colors. In my case I feel how they interact and how complementary they can be, providing a complete comprehension of a state of mind, an emotion or a life experience. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: What role does the\nArtist have in Society?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

They guide or accompany people in their personal and\nsometimes collective evolution. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: What are your thoughts on being an\nartist in today\u2019s world?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

It probably has not\nchanged much over the decades, nor did it over the centuries. It takes a leap\nof faith to go and try. Just as it takes some humbleness – there\u2019s always\nsomething new to experience.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: How has painting\ninfluenced your life?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I suppose that once I started I could no longer go back\nto my previous life. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: What art movement or artist would you say influences your work most?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

 I love the colors and themes by Nicholas\nRoerich. In fact I learnt about him after people started comparing my painting\nwith his.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: What can we expect from you this\nyear? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are now\nfinalising the e-book of Tales of the Inner Child. We aim to release it on\nAmazon in October 2019. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

NY Glam: Can you share with us three\nfavorite things about your city\/culture? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Oh! It\u2019s not easy to name just three, but I\u2019ll try. I\u2019d say architecture, food and definitely art-supply shops. There\u2019s one in particular that I absolutely love – it\u2019s Sennelier. Each time I go inside it feels like the cave of Alibaba.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
