I become emigrant in my early 20-s, left\nmy country Kosova, left my dreams behind because I had to survive, first I had\nto stay alive. America gave me a new breath of life, first years I was in New\nYork, I had to learn how to survive, I didn\u2019t speak English very litter, didn\u2019t\nhave papers \u2026I was a person without name and number walking thru the heart of\nthe world New York. Me and my husband stared family, worked hard to have roof\nover our heads, my soul was crying not for better life conditions but because I\ncouldn\u2019t paint \u2026with $ 200 dollars a week I had to give my child some kind of\nlife. In few years thinks were better and words in the same time. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n \nI went thru divorce, and from that moment I decide to bring my soul\nalive, I star painting, now nobady was on my way (my ex never believed in art)\n. I become student of Chuck DeHaan western artist, for 4 years 14 hours a day\n,7 days of week I was painting \u2026I was a live for the first time.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY\nGlam: What projects\nare you currently working on? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I decide to visiting my country after 32\nyears, observing the lost emotions and memories and putting those fillings on\nwhite canvas, a month ago I had opportunity to present my art work for the\nfirst time in my country, and it was beautiful experience. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY Glam: <\/strong>What art do you most identify with?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Abstrakt \u2026I was told my art work can be compared with work of Gerhard Richter<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY Glam: What themes do you pursue?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Because I come from place where woman is still\nvictim of traditions, woman is always my subject, thru colors I tried to\nexpress emotions that woman goes thru. Always judge.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY Glam: What\u2019s your favorite art work? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n If you asking from my work, I don\u2019t have favored.\nEvery painting is excitement but when I finish I feel I want more and better. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n From artist Van Gogh is where I find peace. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY Glam: Tells us about some of your recent\nexhibitions. What memorable responses have you had to your work?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I recent had exhibitions in Prishtina, my city. it\nwas very beautiful experience. Did couple sales, I had a lot of visitors. <\/strong><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY Glam: Tell us about one of your projects which\nyou are very proud of.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I been active in some different activates but I have\nto say \u2026I am the proudest that I am working every day in front of easel,\nsearching for unseen and untouched inside the canvas.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY Glam: What does \u201cbeing creative\u201d mean to you?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n To find good thinks inside the sadness or tragedy, to\nbe able to express one thought of true felling thru hope and love. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY\nGlam: What are you trying to communicate with your art?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Thru\nmy art I am trying to say, be yourself and that\u2019s all we need in life. Listen\nto the inside voice that we forget to listen because of dynamic life.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I\ntalk to the colors and canvas every day, my soul is art \u2026art is soul. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY\nGlam: What role does the Artist have in Society?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I\nthink has the most important role, life brings challenges and the only time to\nbring some strength to life is thru art. Thru Art is record the truth of\nhumanity, when you see a painting brings fillings to the person.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY\nGlam: What are your thoughts on being an artist\nin today\u2019s world?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Is beautiful, Art is becoming part of world changes. Is\nhelping the world to change.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY\nGlam: How has painting influenced your life?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n For me painting is the most important part of my life. Whenever I see pain or unjustness thru canvas I express my opinion about that subject, that means I don\u2019t argue about the challenges of life but recorded them and learn from them thru silent. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n NY Glam: What art movement or artist would you say influences your work most? <\/p>\n\n\n\n Van Gogh <\/p>\n\n\n\n NY\nGlam: What can we\nexpect from you this year?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n I have a lot of work in\nfront of me.
