NY Glam:<\/strong> Congratulations on your new publishing house Literary Revelations. Can you share more about it?<\/p>\n

Gabriela Marie Milton<\/strong>: I founded Literary Revelations for two deeply personal reasons: to honor the memory of my mother and to create a space where the tapestry of human emotion\u2014love, nature, sadness, and joy\u2014can be freely explored. At first glance, this may sound banal or overly sentimental. However, I assure you it is anything but. The reality is that countless poets struggle to have their work published simply because they do not conform to certain academic criteria or established norms in literary circles.<\/p>\n

In many cases, talent alone is not enough; it often comes down to connections and who you know within these exclusive networks. This is precisely why I am passionate about giving a voice to extraordinary poetry that captivates the soul but may never grace the pages of traditional poetry journals. I want to showcase living poets whose work deserves recognition now\u2014not posthumously.<\/p>\n

As someone who writes about love myself, I understand how beautiful it is to explore the depths of the human soul. Gabriela Marie Milton<\/strong>:\u00a0 My Books Passions: Love Poems and Other Writings, and Woman: Splendor and Sorrow can be found on Amazon and other internet retailers. I have documented my feelings on paper, and I am satisfied with my books. When my publisher wrote in one of the forewords that Gabriela Marie Milton is the type of poet Robert Graves had in mind when he referred to being a poet as a condition \u2013 rather than a profession, I had tears in my eyes. It was the same when Christina Schwarz, the author of the New York Times Bestseller \u201cDrowning Ruth,\u201d wrote, \u201cWith lush language and lavish imagery, Gabriela Marie Milton. evokes a fantastic world ripe with emotion.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

I want the beautiful poetry of my followers to be featured and appreciated in a world that often overlooks raw emotion and genuine expression. Literary Revelations aims to shine brightly amid the love and struggle we all experience, providing a platform where heartfelt words can resonate with others. Literary Revelations is not just about showcasing poetry; it’s about celebrating the human experience, its joys, sorrows, and everything in between. I uplift voices that deserve recognition and create a tapestry of shared humanity through poetry.<\/p>\n

NY Glam:<\/strong> What has been your personal key to success?<\/p>\n

Gabriela Marie Milton<\/strong>: For me, the key to success lies not in the relentless pursuit of accolades but in a deeper understanding of what truly matters. When we shift our focus away from obsessing over success itself, we create space for the things that enrich our lives. Loving people\u2014cherishing relationships and nurturing connections\u2014becomes paramount. Through these bonds, we find support, inspiration, and joy.<\/p>\n

NY Glam:<\/strong> What book are you currently working on?<\/p>\n

Gabriela Marie Milton<\/strong>: Personally, I am working on a co-authored book with the Japanese painter Hikari. Hikari is working more than me right now, but my turn will come. I will also publish next year a mystery novel.<\/p>\n

Literary Revelations is going to publish a new book at the end of April entitled Tranquility: An Anthology of Haiku. Over 240 authors contributed to this book. It has a gorgeous cover done by the Japanese painter Hikari and includes fine art photography by the Japanese artist Naoki Kimura. There are also other books in the making, but 2025 will be mostly a \u201cJapanese year\u201d for Literary Revelations.<\/p>\n
